Android: WhatsApp starts testing Schedule call feature on Android beta: Report – Times of India

WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to schedule a call in advance. The Schedule call feature will be available for Android users and it is expected to be released soon. WhatsApp users can plan their calls with friends and family ahead of time and make sure they don’t miss out on important conversations.
The scheduled call feature will also come in handy for business owners who need to stay connected with their clients or colleagues at different times of the day. This way, they can make sure that their calls are not interrupted by other commitments or distractions.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp users will be able to select a title, date, and time for their call, which ensures that everyone in the group is aware of when the scheduled call will take place. Moreover, there will be no need for constant reminders making it easier for group members to plan their schedules accordingly.
The update is rolling out through the Google Play Beta Program and carries version 2.23.4.4 giving users the ability to schedule calls. The feature is under development and WhatsApp is working on bringing the ability to schedule calls to a future update of the app, the report added.

WhatsApp is working on an in-app banner feature within the app that will allow users to browse their documents. The new banner feature will be available to use in the upcoming update of the app. WhatsApp users will be able to share documents and files up to 2GB in size.
However, the feature is available within the chat option that allows users to share files with their contacts. As of now, WhatsApp allows its users to share documents up to 64 MB in size.
