Apple begins iPhone 13 production in India
Apple has started trial production of its flagship iPhone 13 in the Foxconn plant near Chennai as the US tech giant prepares to make almost all its top selling smartphone models in the country, two industry executives said. The company expects to start commercial production of iPhone 13 in India for both the domestic market and exports by February, they said. After Google, another IT giant has warning for unvaccinated employees in the US
Chip-maker Intel has reportedly notified employees that those who are unvaccinated will have to get the jab or submit an exemption by January 4, else they will be put on unpaid leaves. HP starts manufacturing laptops, desktops in India
Tech giant HP on Wednesday said it has started manufacturing multiple PC products, including laptops, in India. Powering the ‘Make in India’ initiative of the Government of India, HP has started manufacturing multiple models of laptops, desktop towers and mini desktops at the Flex facility in Sriperumbudur near Chennai, Tamil Nadu, according to a statement. Samsung takes over Intel as top chipmaker by revenue: Report
Samsung Electronics took over the top spot in the global semiconductor market by revenue in the third quarter on the back of strong memory chip sales, a new report revealed on Tuesday. Industry tracker Omdia said Intel, which had been the top chipmaker for 11 straight quarters, slipped to number two behind Samsung ‘as the memory segment, where Samsung is the number one DRAM and NAND supplier was the largest growth area for semiconductors’ in the three-months ending in September.
