apple: Apple is solving this Apple Watch problem with iOS 15.1 update for iPhone 13 users – Times of India

Apple has reportedly fixed the ‘Unlock with Apple Watch’ issue in the new iOS 15.1 beta version for iPhone 13. The company has released the new beta build for developers and as reported by 9to5Mac, few developers are now able to unlock their iPhone 13 smartphone using Apple Watch when wearing a mask. “Yay, Apple Watch unlock is working again! (At least in combination with watchOS 8.1 beta 1.)” an iOS beta user tweeted with an image of the Software Update screen.
The bug was first reported by iPhone 13 users last week when they received an ‘Unable to communicate with Apple Watch’ error message on their devices. Few days later the company acknowledged the issue and announced that it will be fixing the bug soon. “Apple has identified an issue where Unlock with Apple Watch may not work with iPhone 13 devices. You might see “Unable to Communicate with Apple Watch” if you try to unlock your iPhone while wearing a face mask, or you might not be able to set up Unlock with Apple Watch.” the company said in a support document.
The feature was introduced by the company in April to help users unlock their smartphones when wearing a face mask as Face ID can’t authenticate with masks on.
Apart from this, iPhone users have also reported several other problems in iOS 15 such as false storage warning, unresponsive touchscreen, battery drainage issue and ghost touches. Although it is not clear when the company will release the operating system update for the public, it is expected that it will fix the above-mentioned issues spotted by the users.
The iOS 15.1 beta also adds the SharePlay feature that was removed from the official release of iOS 15.0. The beta update also brings more changes to the Apple Wallet and Health apps.
