apple: Apple may soon sell iPhones, iPads and Apple Watch at LG stores in South Korea – Times of India

Apple may soon start selling its iPhones at LG stores in South Korea. The iPhone maker is reportedly working on a new partnership with the South Korean tech company LG. Under the partnership, the company plans to sell iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watch at “LG Best Shops” retail stores in South Korea.
LG has already shut down its mobile business. This has left its retail space selling handsets empty. Apple is looking to use these stores as its own retail presence in South Korea is still relatively small.
“The two companies are reportedly discussing the establishment of separate Apple corners within the shops that are directly run by Apple employees or allowing LG Best Shop employees to sell Apple products after LG Electronics acquires the right to the sale of Apple products. The two sides have yet to decide when the partnership starts, but some market experts predict that it will be some time after the end of July when LG Electronics completely pull out of the smartphone business”, says a report by Business Korea.
The report says that as of now Apple and LG have not come to an agreement. The two are at disagreement over the sale of Apple Mac laptops and computers. LG has its own range of Gram laptops. Selling Apple’s MacBooks in LG stores will be disadvantageous for the South Korean tech giant.
The duo, as per the online report, may agree to sell only iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches. “Nothing has been decided yet”, and LG and Apple are “exploring all possibilities,” said a LG spokesperson in a statement to Business Korea.
