apple: Elon Musk does not want you to waste money on ‘silly’ Apple product

Apple created quite a stir in October when it launched a special polishing cloth meant for cleaning Apple devices. The Apple Cloth has been subject to quite a few memes, jokes and some more. Tesla CEO Elon Musk had poked fun earlier at the Apple Cloth and once again he has taken a dig at it.
In a tweet about Tesla’s new ‘product’ — a Cyberwhistle — Musk urged his followers not to buy the Apple Cloth. “Don’t waste your money on that silly Apple Cloth, buy our whistle instead!”, tweeted the CEO of Tesla.

The Apple Cloth reportedly has been in huge demand with it being sold out in many countries. The polishing cloth sells for Rs 1,900 in India and is described by Apple as “Made with soft, non-abrasive material, the Polishing Cloth cleans any Apple display, including nano-texture glass, safely and effectively.”
Meanwhile, the Cyberwhistle from Tesla costs a cool $50 (roughly Rs 3,750). It is inspired by the Tesla Cybertruck and as per Tesla’s website, it is a “limited-edition Cyberwhistle is a premium collectible made from medical-grade stainless steel with a polished finish. The whistle includes an integrated attachment feature for added versatility.”
When Apple had announced the polishing cloth Musk had tweeted a day after the Apple Unleashed event regarding the cloth but that was just a ROFL — rolling on floor laughing — emoji.
Interestingly, much like the Apple Cloth, the Tesla Cyberwhistle is also out of stock on Tesla’s website. The Apple polishing cloth on the Apple India online store shows close to 6-8 weeks of delivery time in most locations.
