The MacBook Pro with M2 Max offers up to a 38-core GPU, which is claimed to result in 30% improved graphics when compared with the M1 Max. It also offers 400GB/s of unified memory bandwidth, which is twice what the M2 Pro offers.

The M2 Max also comes with a next-gen 12-core CPU that has up to eight high-performance and four high-efficiency cores. It is claimed that this results in up to 20% greater performance when compared to the M1 Max. It has a more powerful media engine when compared to the M2 Pro. The company claims that it has twice the ProRes acceleration, which ends up speeding up media playback and transcoding.
