Apple iOS 15.6, iPadOS 15.6 is now rolling out: What’s new – Times of India

Apple is expected to start rolling out iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 to all the compatible iPhones and iPads alongside the launch of next-generation iPhones in September. However, ahead of that, the company has started rolling out iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 to its users.
The update is likely to be one of the last updates under the iOS 15 and iPad OS 15. But, it does include some new features and changes. Here’s everything that’s new or changed with the latest update.
The first and one of the most noticeable changes is with the TV app. The app has received the ability to pause, rewind and fast-forward a live sports game. In addition, the updates also address several known bugs, including the one where the Settings app keeps prompting the full storage error even if there’s ample space available.
Another issue that has been fixed as a part of the update is the Mail app’s stop responding when navigating along with Safari issue where a tab used to revert back to the previous page.
Here’s the complete changelog as per Apple’s official website:

  • TV app adds the option to restart a live sports game already in progress and pause, rewind, or fast-forward
  • Fixes an issue where Settings may continue to display that device storage is full even if it is available
  • Fixes an issue that may cause braille devices to slow down or stop responding when navigating text in Mail
  • Fixes an issue in Safari where a tab may revert back to a previous page

It is important to note that some feature these features may not be available depending upon the region.
