Apple iPhone 13 ‘camera secret’ revealed – Times of India

Apple recently launched the iPhone 13 series globally and although it may look like the company has shared all the specifications of its flagship smartphone iPhone 13 Pro Max, a recent post on Weibo suggests otherwise. Apple rarely reveals any information related to components of iPhones, however, it has now being revealed that Apple may have used a new Sony camera sensor in the iPhone 13 Pro series.
According to a post by the Chinese blogger, Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max boasts camera sensors from Sony. The post reveals that the triple camera setup at the rear uses Sony IMX 7-series sensors, while the front-facing camera and ToF get the same sensors as on iPhone 12 Pro Max.
If you combine the official data with the new information you will find that the main 12MP lens has 26mm focal length, F/1.5 aperture and 1.9 μm pixel size. The ultrawide lens has the same 12MP resolution as the main lens but it gets a focal length of 13mm on and an F/1.8 aperture. The 12MP telephoto lens has 77mm focal length and F/2.8 aperture.
The new iPhone 13 series went on sale last week and the iPhone 13 Pro Max with 1TB storage capacity is the most expensive smartphone launched by Apple this year. Although the smartphone may look similar to the company’s previous flagship iPhone 12 Pro Max, it gets a better camera, A15 Bionic chipset and improved battery life. As per the company, the new processor is 50% faster as compared to its rivals available in the market. The flagship also features a Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion featuring an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz and it is available in four colour options – Graphite, Gold, Silver and Sierra Blue.
