Apple iPhone 13 production in India to reportedly start at Foxconn plant from April
While local production has helped with the cost of the iPhones, troubles never ended. Wistron iPhone plant in Bangalore has seen a huge riot in December 2020, where workers smashed glass, overturned cars, and started fires to revolt against lower salaries and unpaid wages. This was a result due to the extensive hiring spree that may have overwhelmed the plant’s HR department, thereby causing a delay in payment. Apple used the plant to manufacture iPhone SE 2020 at the Bangalore plant.
