Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max specifications the new iPhone 14 Plus may miss out on

The iPhone 14 series will drop the ‘mini’ model in favour of a larger iPhone 14 Plus. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models will be distinguished extensively in departments such as the display, camera, processor, and design.

Apple iPhone 14 Plus vs iPhone 14 Pro Max: rumours

The vanilla iPhone 14 is expected to get a larger ‘Plus-sized model instead of a ‘mini’ after Apple tasted poor sales when it came to compact flagship phones. This new iPhone 14 Plus is believed to be similarly sized to the iPhone 14 Pro Max model. While the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models will continue with the 6.1-inch display, the new Plus model may match up to the iPhone 14 Pro Max with a 6.7-inch display.

However, the display technologies on the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max would be fairly different. Apple has reportedly decided to continue with the 60Hz OLED panel on the vanilla iPhone 14 range, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max may get a 120Hz ProMotion panel using the LTPO technology. The adaptive refresh rate on the iPhone 14 Pro Max will allow the screen to drop to 1Hz, which will allow Apple to introduce Always-On display technology finally. Moreover, the iPhone 14 Plus is expected to continue with the notch that we’ve come to associate with an iPhone; however, the iPhone 14 Pro models may move onto a pill and circular cutout design upfront.

The iPhone 14 Pro models are also expected to benefit from a newer A16 Bionic processor and also acquire more RAM. The base iPhone 14 models may get a retuned version of the A15 Bionic processor from last year. The iPhone 14 Pro models are also expected to get the new 48MP wide-angle primary camera that will use pixel binning technology. The ultrawide and telephoto cameras on the ‘Pro’ models may also be reworked, and the iPhone 14 Pro models should be capable of shooting 8K footage. ProRAW photos and ProRes videos are also likely to be limited to the iPhone 14 Pro twins. The iPhone 14 Pro models might also benefit from a larger battery.
