Apple is dishing out FREE AirPods to some customers – are you eligible?
Apple has announced the return of its popular summer special, which gives students the chance to grab a free pair of AirPods – worth £159 – with the purchase of select products from the US tech company’s store. The “High Education Offer” has just gone live and is open to anyone in full-time education.
As a quick reminder, Apple AirPods seamlessly pair with your iPhone, Mac, or iPad and beam music to your ears without wires. They can keep playing for around five hours, with the clever carry case topping up the batteries to 24-hours in total.
For those who want an even better experience, there’s also the option to pay an extra £90 to get the AirPods Pro. These usually cost over £230 and bring active noise-cancelling technology to help block out the annoying background sounds around you.
Apple says the deal is running from now until October 11, 2021 and is available on MacBooks, iMac and iPads purchased through Apple’s Education Store. Along with those free headphones, there’s also 20 percent off AppleCare+ which is definitely worth considering for students as it offers an insurance plan that provides up to three years of expert technical support and additional hardware coverage from Apple, including up to two incidents of accidental damage.
AppleCare+ can cost as much as £249 so there is another decent saving to be made. If you think this offer is for you…here’s what you need to do.
