Apple Mac Studio and Studio Display launched: Price, availability and more – Times of India

Apple has launched a new desktop computer — Mac Studio along with the Studio Display at the Apple Peek Performance event. The all-new Mac Studio desktop comes with a new Aluminum enclosure, plenty of ports and high-end specifications. On the other hand, the Studio display features a 27-inch 5K Retina display and is powered by an A13 Bionic chipset.
Price and availability
The price of the Mac Studio starts at Rs 1,89,900, whereas the Studio Display comes with a starting price tag of Rs 1,59,900. Apple has also introduced a new colour variant of the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric keypad for Rs 19,500. The company has also released a new Magic Trackpad and Magic Mouse priced at Rs 14,500 and Rs 9,500 respectively. The devices are up for order on Apple online store and will start shipping from March 18.
Apple Mac Studio and Studio Display features
Apple Mac Studio can be configured with either M1 Max or the new M1 Ultra chipset. Built from a single aluminium extrusion with a square footprint of just 7.7 inches and a height of only 3.7 inches, Mac Studio takes up very little space. The device comes with a thermal design and double-sided blowers which ensure proper airflow.
The Mac Studio also comes with multiple ports which include 2 USB-C and SDXC card slots in the front and the rear houses four Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 10Gb Ethernet port, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, and a pro audio jack. It also comes with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 support.
The company claims that the Mac Studio is capable of driving up to four Pro Display XDRs. The powerful machine features an Aluminum enclosure that measures 7.7 x 7.7 x 3.7 inches.
On the other hand, Apple Studio Display is a standalone desktop monitor which features a 27-inch 5K Retina panel with a peak brightness of 600 nits. The display comes with an anti-reflective coating or the nano-texture glass option.
The Studio Display also features an all-Aluminum enclosure surrounded by thin bezels on all sides. It comes with a built-in stand that offers up to 30 degrees of tilt. The display sports a 12MP ultra-wide camera and packs A13 Bionic chipset. It comes with three microphones and a high-fidelity sound system.
The Studio Display offers three USB-C ports and a Thunderbolt port which enable users to connect the device to a Mac.
