Apple MacBook Pro laptops with M2 chip may be launched sooner than you think

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in his latest report, hints that the macOS Ventura update will also include support for new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models before the end of this year. The report further notes that the new MacBook Pro models may have two CPU variants – the Apple M2 Pro and M2 Max, similar to last year’s M1 Pro and M1 Max on current 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models.

The report also hints that Apple might launch an M2-powered Mac Mini alongside the new MacBook Pro models. This year’s Mac Mini, however, may also come with the option for an M2 Pro and M2 Max chips.

The new MacBook Pro and Mac Mini models are said to launch in November this year. While last year’s MacBook Pro models were launched in October, Apple has kept this month for the new iPad Pro models. Earlier, Apple has launched Mac models in November like the 2020 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini with the M1 chip, or the 16-inch MacBook Pro in 2019 before that.

This year, Apple refreshed the MacBook Air and the 13-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 chip. The M2-powered MacBook Air was launched back in June with a completely new design, while the 13-inch MacBook Pro was launched with the same design, but an upgraded chip.

Most recently, the Cupertino-based giant has launched new iPad Pro models with the M2 chip, alongside a new entry-level iPad and an Apple TV 4K streaming device. The iPad Pro 2022 comes with Apple’s latest M2 chip that features an 8-core CPU with advancements in both performance and efficiency cores, and a 10-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine.

The new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be available in silver and space grey finishes with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB configurations. The devices will be available in stores starting October 26, 2022.

As far as the pricing is concerned, the 11-inch iPad Pro starts at Rs 81,900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 96,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at Rs 1,12,900 for the Wi-Fi model, and Rs 1,27,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
