Apple may further delay AR Glasses launch: Here’s why

Apple has reportedly been developing its AR Glasses (Augmented Reality device) for a long time and was expected to launch the new device soon. However, a new report claims that the Cupertino-based tech giant might have to delay the launch of its upcoming AR Glasses. According to a report by Marketwatch, Apple may launch its AR Glasses device after a few more years. However, the company is expected to launch the AR/VR headset in 2023 and Apple is on track to achieve the goal, the report adds.
Why Apple is delaying the AR Glasses launch
Earlier, rumours claimed that Apple might launch the augmented reality device in 2024. Last year, analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, also added that Apple AR glasses could release by 2025. The new report contradicts that prediction and claims that the company has postponed the launch of its AR Glasses to 2025 or 2026. As per the report, Apple has been forced to delay the launch of its device primarily due to some design problems.

The report doesn’t specify the design issue that the company is facing. From aesthetics to technical design, this could be a wide area and Apple may face issues on one or multiple grounds.
Apple is determined to make Augmented Reality (AR) its top priority. CEO Tim Cook also believes that this technology is the next big thing and it will affect everything.

Currently, Apple appears to be facing delays in releasing AR devices but some devices like the iPhone already include AR elements. Users have to wait for more to know what the company has to offer until its devices arrive in the market.
Apple is yet to comment on the alleged delay.
