Apple may roll out iPadOS 16.1 update later this month – Times of India
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is said to release the iPadOS 16.1 update in the last week of October. In a tweet, Gurman mentioned that the iPadOS 16.1 is on track and is expected to release on October 24. It is also expected that Apple may also release iOS 16.1 along with the iPadOS 16.1.
The upcoming software update is compatible with all the iPad Pro models, third-generation iPad Air and later, fifth-generation iPad mini and later and fifth-generation iPad and later. Apple was initially expected to release the iPadOS 16 in September with iOS 16. But the company had to delay the update due to certain issues with the new Stage Manager feature.
Stage Manager, for the uninitiated, makes multitasking on the iPad a better experience. Users can resize apps, and connect the iPad to an external display to get more done.
Apple recently confirmed that the useful Stage Manager feature will work with more iPad Pro models. The Cupertino-based tech giant has confirmed to Engadget that the Stage Manager feature will come to more iPad Pro models with iPadOS 16.1. With iPadOS, Apple has been attempting to bring the iPad as close to a desktop-like experience.
