Apple Music, TV and Devices apps come to Windows 11 – Times of India

After much waiting, Apple has finally brought the Apple Music and Apple TV apps to Windows 11. The preview of two apps – Music and TV – are now live on Microsoft Store. There is one more app that has now arrived on Windows’ app store, Apple Devices, which will let you manage iPhones and iPads on your Windows machine.
However, you will not find these apps in the Microsoft Store straightaway, so you will have to do some digging. Also, do note that it is a preview build, and all features may not work as expected, Apple suggests the same.
Apple Music and TV for Windows still in beta
If you go on to install Apple Music, TV, or Devices app preview, then you will not be able to open iTunes anymore. Further, audiobooks and podcasts locally stored on your device will become inaccessible until a compatible version of iTunes is released. The only way to fix these problems, or in case you want to use iTunes, is to uninstall the three apps.
The native apps for Apple Music, TV and the new Apple Devices app are built on modern technologies, thus the apps will be much smoother, and these apps will not be a power hog.
The Apple Music and Apple TV apps look much similar to the apps on macOS. However, you will notice some changes to the interface to suit Windows.
With the Apple Music app, you get all the features as on the other builds of the app, but you will miss out on the lyrics. Meanwhile, Apple TV also works similarly as it does on other platforms. So, you get Apple TV+, Apple TV channels, and movies and shows from iTunes Store. The app supports playback in 4K HDR if the content is available and the device supports it.
Apple Devices to bid farewell to iTunes
The Apple Devices app will replace iTunes, which has been long used to sync and restore iPhones, iPads and iPods. The app will allow users to back up their iPhone and iPad, sync local media and restore software without needing to have iTunes.
The apps are hidden within the Microsoft Store, so you will not find them easily. However, we expect Apple to soon release the stable build of three apps to the public.
