Apple has started rolling out a new firmware update for AirTags. The updated firmware carries the build number 2A36. Earlier it was 2A24e that was rolled out in November. 9to5mac has reported that users will see version number 2.0.36 while installing the update.
AirTags firmware update: What’s new
Just like every other firmware update for AirTags, this version also does not reveal any specific details that it brings. Also, Apple has currently not provided the changelog or update details on the official support page as of now. So, we could not exactly point out what’s new with the latest update.
However, we expect it to bring bug fixes and stability improvements over the previous version.
Meanwhile, AirTags usually gets updated automatically. There’s no way for users to force the update as it happens with iPhone, Mac or other Apple devices. All users have to do is keep the AirTags connected to their devices and in range. Once the update is available, it will automatically get updated.
