What’s new in iOS 16.1
iOS 16.1 brings a refined version of the clipboard paste feature. As per Macrumors, in the new iteration, “a new ‘Paste from Other Apps’ menu appears for apps that have previously asked for permission to paste content from another app.” The menu can be accessed in the Settings app > [App Name] > Paste from Other Apps.
The menu offers three options:
Ask: This will force the app to continue requesting permission to paste content from other apps.
Deny: The app will not be allowed to paste content from other apps.
Allow: The app can paste content from other apps without asking for permission again.
This essentially gives users granular control over this security feature and makes it less irritating at the same time. iOS 16.1 is currently in beta and is expected to reach people’s iPhones later this month.
