Apple to make it easier to find ‘lost’ AirPods, other new features coming soon – Times of India
NEW DELHI: Apple made many important announcements at its annual developer conference — WWDC 2021. Apart from various OS updates, the company also revealed that the Apple AirPods will be getting quality-of-life improvements with the iOS 15.
Apple AirPods will get the ability to boost the sound of people talking to you, the ability to announce a wider range of notifications and also better Find My support.
The Cupertino-based tech giant explained that the ‘Conversation Boost’ feature of AirPods will be helpful for people who have difficulties in hearing other people’s voices. The earbuds will now try to isolate the voice of the person in front of you with the help of sliders and allow the user to control the amount of ambient noise.
Along with this, Apple AirPods are also getting the ability to read out other important notifications apart from messages and texts. The company is also adding support for announcements based on location-tagged tasks in Reminder. Users will also be able to select which apps can read out messages.
We all know that Apple AirPods are pretty easy to lose, so in order to help the users, Apple has introduced more Find My abilities which also include AirTag-like proximity. The company also mentioned that Apple AirPods Pro and Max will also be able to tap into the Find My network, contacting other people’s Apple devices so that they can find the location of their device.
They will also be told whether the earbuds are out of the case or not.
The AirPods are also getting support for a new separation alert which will notify the user if they are about to leave them behind.
