Apple to tweak iPhone 14 Pro display to make it more Android-like
How will the always-on display work
The developer beta version of 16.2 now brings a tweak to the always-on display feature. Users will now see two toggles through which they can disable wallpaper or notification when the always-on display is active. If one toggles off the wallpaper then the screen will go blank and if notifications are turned off, then none will appear on the lock screen. Instead, users will see just the time and any widgets that might have been installed on the lock screen.
The feature will be available in the Settings app where users can go to “Display and Brightness menu”. Once here, they can tap on the “Always On Display” option and the two new toggles will be added.
Do keep in mind that the always-on display feature is available only on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max models. It’s not clear when Apple rolls out the public version of iOS 16.2. If rumours are to be believed then it could arrive sometime in first or second week of December. iPhone users in India will be eagerly awaiting for iOS 16.2 as it will bring 5G support for the first time.
