Apple Watch Pro tipped to sport 47mm case and flat display – Times of India

Apple has already announced that it will be holding its first annual fall special event on September 7. The company is teasing the event with the tagline: “Far out.” Apple is expected to launch the new iPhone 14 series along with new Apple Watch models at the event. Now a new report has surfaced online revealing that the company may launch a rugged Apple Watch Pro at the event.
According to the Japanese publication Mac Otakara, Apple is expected to launch the Apple Watch Pro at the event. The upcoming smartwatch is said to feature a large 47mm case and a flat display. The standard model of yet to launch Apple Watch Series 8 is said to feature 41mm and 45mm models with a curved screen, which is similar to the existing Apple Watch Series 7.

The report further adds that the Pro model of the Apple Watch is said to come with a titanium casing and the S8 chipset. The company is also tipped to offer an improved Low Power Mode and longer battery life. The new models of the Apple Watch are rumoured to come with a new feature which will measure the body temperature of the user.
Another online report by Bloomberg suggests that Apple is working on including satellite functionality on Apple Watch. The report adds that Apple is internally discussing adding satellite features to the smartwatch. The feature is said to be included in the Pro version of the Apple Watch which is said to be introduced next year.
