NEW DELHI: Apple launched the all-new iPhone 13 series last night (September 14). Along with the new iPhones, the company has also launched its new Apple iPad 9th Generation. Soon after the launch of the new iPad, Apple also refreshed its online store. While the new Apple iPad garnered a lot of limelight, the company quietly removed its last year launched 8th Generation Apple iPad. This means that you can no longer buy the 8th Generation Apple iPad from the official online Apple store in India.
You can still purchase Apple iPad (8th Generation) from e-commerce sites
Although Apple is not selling the 8th Generation iPad, you can still purchase it online from Amazon, Flipkart and other e-commerce platforms. Apple iPad (8th Generation) comes in four variants — 32GB WiFi version (Rs 29,900), 128GB WiFi version (Rs 37,900), 32GB WiFi+cellular version (Rs 41,900) and 128GB version (Rs 49,900).
Customers can purchase the iPad in Silver, Space Gray and Gold colour options.
Apple iPad 8th Generation: Specifications
Apple iPad 8th Generation comes with a 10.2-inch Retina display with 2160×1620 pixel resolution. The device is powered by an octa-core A12 Bionic chipset. Apple iPad 8th Generation comes in two stoarge variants — 32GB and 128GB. The device runs iPadOS 14.
The iPad sports an 8MP rear camera with hybrid IR filter and a 1.2MP front camera with Retina flash. The device comes equipped with dual microphones and stereo speakers.
Apple iPad 9th Generation: Price and availability
The all-new 9th Generation Apple iPad also comes in four variants — 64GB WiFi (Rs 30,900), 64GB WiFi+ Cellular (Rs 42,900), 256GB WiFi (Rs 44,900), 256GB WiFi+cellular (Rs 56,900). The new iPad is already up for pre-order in 28 regions including the US and will be available starting September 24.
