Apple’s “largest” MacBook Air may launch in April 2023

The spring of 2023 was already busy for Apple as it plans to showcase its much-rumoured mixed-reality headset. But Apple might have more in store. Rumours are rife that Apple’s ‘biggest’ ever MacBook Air could also finally come this spring.
Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants, in a tweet to his subscribers, says that the panel production for the bigger MacBook Air, the 15.5 inches one, has entered production. Further, adding the bigger MacBook Air could debut as soon as early April.
What Young says is in line with a report from Bloomberg. In the report, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg noted that Apple is working on a larger MacBook Air, which could come with a 15-inch screen, expected to release in the Spring of 2023.
Earlier, Young had suggested that the larger MacBook Air could come with a 15-inch screen, but later the analyst said that the screen would measure 15.5 inches.
There was a time when the MacBook Air used to come in two sizes – 11 inches and 13 inches – but Apple discontinued the 11-inch in 2016 to one to simplify the lineup. If the rumour turns out to be true, there will again be two sizes of MacBook Air – 13.6 inches and 15.5 inches.
For those who miss the 11-inch MacBook Air, Apple is said to be working on its “smallest” laptop ever.
As of right now, not much is known about the alleged larger MacBook Air except that it will measure 15.5 inches. Although, it will be interesting to see how Apple differentiates between the 13.3-inch MacBook Air and the alleged 15.5-inch model.
There are also some chances that Apple might not go with ‘Air’ branding for the larger 15.5 inches MacBook Air. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had earlier suggested that the alleged 15.5 inches would not be known as the “MacBook Air.”
