Apple’s new entry-level iPad to pack A14 Bionic chipset, USB-C port

Apple refreshed its entry-level iPad last year in September. Now, a new online report suggests that the company is planning to update again. Presently, the entry-level iPad is selling at $329 (Rs 25,679) and is the most-affordable iPad of the company.
According to a report by 9to5Mac, Apple is now planning to update its most affordable entry-level iPad. The report claims that the tech giant is working on including a USB-C port instead of the Lightning port in its 10th generation iPad. With this update all the iPad models will now have a USB-C port. The inclusion of USB-C will benefit the users as it supports faster transfer speeds and will also make it easier for the users to connect the iPad to external displays.
The report further suggests that the entry-level iPad will reportedly sport a Retina display of the same resolution as the iPad Air. Presently, the 9th generation iPad sports a 10.2-inch LCD display. The display size of the upcoming iPad is said to increase to 10.9-inch.
The 10th generation iPad is also tipped to be powered by Apple’s own A14 Bionic chipset. This is the same chipset which powers the 4th generation iPad Air. As compared to the present entry-level iPad which is powered by A13, the upcoming iPad will perform 30% faster thanks to the inclusion of A14 Bionic chipset. Apple is also working on incorporating 5G network support to the cellular models of the iPad.
