Google Arts and Culture are working on a project called “India ki Udaan,” which celebrates the country’s achievements and is based on the “unwavering and unending spirit of India over the past 75 years.”

Google, a software company, has released an online project that tells the story of India. It uses the company’s rich archives and beautiful illustrations to show the country’s progress in the 75 years since it became independent.,

It was officially unveiled at a big Friday party at the Sunder Nursery. Union Culture and Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy were there, along with other top culture ministry and Google officials.

As part of the countrywide celebrations to mark 75 years of independence, Google announced that it would be working with the Ministry of Culture on “reaching informative online content that showcases the contributions of Indians and the evolution of India. Since 1947 to support the government’s year-long “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” programme,” the software giant said in a statement.

It also said that students in Classes 1–10 can now enter its popular Doodle4Google contest for 2022, which has the theme “In the next 25 years, my India will…”

“The winner of this year’s Doodle4Google will have their artwork featured on the Google homepage in India on November 14. They will also receive a 5 lakh college scholarship, a 2 lakh technology package for their school or non-profit organisation, a certificate of achievement, Google hardware, and fun Google collectibles. There will also be exciting prizes for the four group winners and the 15 finalists “it said.

Reddy asked the Google team to make a special doodle about “Har Ghar Tiranga” so its employees and other people would be more excited to join the campaign.

In his speech, the minister also said that Google could help the culture ministry digitally map the boundaries of its more than 3,000 centrally protected monuments. This would allow the ministry to track the sites better and stop people from trespassing on them.

He also said that it could help digitize rare archival materials.

“Because of this, we ask the Google team to be a partner in the government’s journey to change and to help promote India’s tourist spots,” Reddy said.

” During the anniversary year, hundreds of millions of Indians will be able to access content and experiences made just for the event.”

The most important part of the celebrations is a new online collection called “India Ki Udaan,” which can be found on the Google Arts and Culture website. It honors India’s rich cultural history and shows some of the most important events of the last 75 years.

People can look at more than 120 illustrations and 21 stories by 10 talented artists, as well as exhibitions from the Ministry of Tourism, the Museum of Art and Photography, the Heritage Directorate of the Indian Railways, and the Indian Academy of Sciences, and the Dastkari Haat Samiti. The book is published in both English and Hindi.

“This project gives a unique look at India’s most memorable moments and lets people learn about the country’s most famous people, its proudest scientific and athletic achievements, and how Indian women continue to inspire people around the world. People in India and all over the world will be able to enjoy a unique mix of archives and art that will be added to this collection “Google said.

The new Google Arts and Culture collection, “India Ki Udaan” (which means “India takes flight”), combines technology with India’s rich cultural history. It is based on India’s “unwavering and unending spirit” over the past 75 years.

Simon Rein, a senior program manager at Google Arts and Culture, said the project “marries the rich content of archives with illustrators’ artistic talent.”

A physical version of the new digital collection was also set up at the venue.

It included a digital screen in the shape of a kite, pictures that could be seen in augmented reality, and other tech-based activities.

Rein said that the kite had been used as an “optimistic metaphor” to talk about India’s journey over the last 75 years and to engage and teach people from India and people who want to learn about the country’s history.

Google Arts and Culture have shown India’s rich culture in many ways in its 10th year there. It has shared India’s cultural heritage with people worldwide by working with more than 100 partners in India.
