Asus Chromebook with military-grade durability to launch in India on December 13 – Times of India
NEW DELHI: The market share of Chromebook witnessed a great boost in this pandemic situation. Asus launched its Chromebook series in India in July this year. The company already offers four Chromebooks under the series. Now, it appears that the company is expanding its Chromebook series.
Asus is all set to launch a new Chromebook model with military-grade durability in India on December 13. The company has not yet revealed the model number but the teaser image shared by the company highlights some of its features.
The teaser image shared mentions that the device will offer class above performance. Along with this, the yet-to-launch Chromebook also promises to offer long battery life and a flexible body. The upcoming Asus Chromebook is said to come with a 180-degree flexible hinge. The device is said to house several ports including a microSD card slot, USB Type-C port and two USB Type-A ports.
The company has also confirmed that the Chromebook will be sold online on Flipkart.
Asus launched the Chromebook Detachable CZ1 laptop with military-grade certification in August this year. It appears that Asus may launch the same device in India now.
The USP of the Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1 is its design. Not only does it come with a detachable keyboard and a flip stand on the back, but it also has US military-grade toughness. In terms of specs, the Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1 offers Full HD 10.1-inch multitouch display of WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution with 16:10 aspect ratio. It is powered by MediaTek Kompanio 500 SoC with Arm Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. It has 4G LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB eMMC storage on board.
