Asus reconfirms Zenfone 8 India launch

Asus recently launched its flagship smartphones, Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip globally.
The company, a couple of months ago, confirmed that the phone will launch in India as well.
The official launch details are still awaited from the company. However, Dinesh Sharma, Business Head, commercial PC and smartphone, ASUS India has once again confirmed that the smartphone will launch in India via a tweet.
The tweet reads, “To all Fans asking me about our new smartphone’s India launch – the answer is yes. Team is relentlessly working towards the same and we will announce the launch date soon. Deeply appreciate your enthusiasm. Watch this space for more info https://asus.in/new-phone”.
The tweet still leaves us in the dark about the official launch date of the smartphone or even the timeline about the tentative launch of the smartphone.
The tweet also does not tell us whether both Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip will launch in India or just the Zenfone 8.
Based on the global variant of the smartphone, the Zenfone 8 will feature a 5.9-inch 120Hz AMOLED display.
The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888SoC paired with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The Zenfone 8 features a compact and smaller form factor than other flagships available and the kind of internal features can give it an edge over other options available.
Also, if Asus manages to price the smartphone competitively, then it can be a deal-clincher for users and become a ladder to success in the smartphone market for the company.
The global variant features a dual rear camera setup of 64MP primary and a 12MP secondary sensor.
