Asus ROG Phone 3 starts receiving Android 11 update, brings new features and more – Times of India
Asus has finally started rolling out the stable version of Android 11 update to its last year’s gaming smartphone, ROG Phone 3.
The update brings several new features, UI changes, performance enhancements and more to ROG Phone 3. However it is currently available only for the Taiwanese market. We can expect a global rollout to follow soon.
The update carries build number WW-18.0410.2105.133 and has a massive download size of 2.72GB. So, make sure to keep at least 3GB free before proceeding with the update.
ROG Phone 3: Android 11 update changelog
According to the official support page of ROG Phone 3, the smartphone will receive a new ZenUI design with revamped mobile manager, contacts, phone, file manager, calculator, clock, gallery and other first-party apps.
Support one-time permissions, improved scoped storage, and auto revoke app permission are also a part of the update.
Apart from this, notification history and bubbles settings have been added. Integrated PowerMaster features will be available into Battery Settings such as slow charging, charging limit, custom battery modes, etc.
ROG Phone 3 specifications
The ROG Phone 3 is powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM. It features a 6.59-inch FHD+ 144HZ LED display.
For imaging duties, the gaming smartphone comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor primary sensor along with 13MP 125-degree ultra-wide sensor and 5MP Macro sensor. On the front, the phone has a 24MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture and a pixel size of 0.9µm.
The game also comes with some gaming features such as AirTriggers, Armory Crate, dual front firing speakers and more.
