Asus ROG Phone 5s, ROG Phone 5s Pro to launch in India on February 15

NEW DELHI: Asus is all set to expand its gaming smartphone lineup in India. The Taiwanse smartphone maker has confirmed the India launch of Asus ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro. The company has scheduled a virtual launch event for February 15, where it will unveil the two gaming smartphones. The launch event will begin at 12pm on February 15 and will be livestreamed on the company’s official YouTube channel.
The smartphones will be available online on Flipkart. The company will announce the price and availability details of both the smartphones at the time of the launch. Asus ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus processor coupled with up to 18GB of RAM. The gaming smartphones run Android 11 operating system and 64MP dual rear camera.
Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro specifications
The Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro smartphone offers a 6.78-inch full-HD+ Samsung AMOLED E4 with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It has a 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and 1200 nits of peak brightness. It also has a “ROG Vision” PMOLED display on the back.
Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC, paired with Adreno 660 GPU, the Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro packs 18GB RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Running on Android 11 with ROG UI skin on top, the Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro offers a triple rear camera setup of 64MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultra wide angle sensor and a 5MP macro sensor. On the front, there is a 24MP sensor.
Backed by a 6000mAh battery, the ROG 5s Pro offers 65W fast-charging support. In terms of connectivity, it offers dual-SIM 5G and 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS and GLONASS, and USB Type-C port.
In comparison to the vanilla ROG Phone 5s, the Pro model also offers two extra touch sensors.
Asus ROG Phone 5s specifications
The regular Asus ROG Phone 5s doesn’t have the “ROG Vision” PMOLED display on the back, instead has a ROG logo lit up by RGB LEDs. It also doesn’t have the two additional touch sensors on the back cover.
Other than that, it has the same specs as the Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro.
