brings UI and charging improvements

Nothing Phone (1) new update features

The latest Nothing Phone (1) update (v1.1.2) weighs around 40MB, thereby suggesting that it is not a major update. It still brings about plenty of noteworthy changes to the device. For starters, the fingerprint icon can now be made visible by slightly moving the device when its screen is off. Plus, the always-on display feature of the Nothing Phone (1), which was allegedly causing significant battery drain, has now been turned off during the night by default. Users, of course, still have the ability to keep it turned on by toggling it in the settings menu.

The charging performance of the device is also said to have improved, and the Nothing Phone (1) will now be compatible with more 3rd party chargers. This is good news for those who don’t want to buy the rather expensive proprietary charger launched by the brand.

Moving on, the latest Nothing Phone (1) update resolves several Bluetooth codec issues and optimises minor UI details. Howsoever vague this changelog sounds, we can expect the UI to get better with the update, at least. Lastly, the update comes with general bug fixes and stability improvement.
