BSNL announces Rs 797 prepaid plan: Benefits, validity and more – Times of India
BSNL has introduced a new plan for its prepaid customers. The state-owned telco has launched a Rs 797 prepaid plan. The new plan comes with a validity of 395 days. Benefits offered under the plan will be valid for the first 60 days. Post this, users can either add talktime packs or data packs as per their choice.

BSNL Rs 797 plan comes with 2GB mobile data per day. Internet speed reduces to 80 Kbps post the consumption of fair-usage-policy (FUP) data. Users will also be able to make unlimited voice calls with the plan. It also offers 100SMS per day.
However, these benefits will be available for the first 60 days. After 60 days, the benefits will expire and users will have to recharge their number. As reported by TelecomTalk, the plan will be suitable for those users who want to keep his/her BSNL connection as a secondary SIM in his/her smartphone.
Meanwhile, the telecom operator is reportedly planning to introduce commercial 4G services and its 5G network in non-standalone (NSA) mode on August 15, India’s Independence Day 2022. The executive director and chairman of the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DoT), Rajkumar Upadhyay shared the information during a recent industry event. He revealed that the state-owned telecom is doing proof of concept (POC) for 4G while working on 5G, simultaneously.
