BSNL launches Rs 1,498 data-only plan for prepaid customers

Government-owned telecom operator BSNL has launched a new recharge plan for its prepaid customers. Priced Rs 1,498, the new plan offers 2GB high-speed daily data to the customers. It is a mobile data-only plan and does not include any additional voice calling or SMS benefits.
The telco has also announced a promotional offer for the customers who recharge their BSNL mobile numbers with Rs 2,399 recharge plan. The customers will be eligible for 90 days additional validity with the plan. The offer, as per an online report, will be valid till November 18.
What are the benefits under the new BSNL plan?
As mentioned above, BSNL Rs 1,498 prepaid plan offers 2GB daily data. In case a user exhausts the daily data limit, the internet speed will be reduced to 40 Kbps.
The new prepaid plan has a year-long validity. It will be valid for 365 days.
BSNL originally introduced the Rs 1,498 prepaid plan in 2020. The plan, then offered a total mobile data of 91GB and was valid up to 365 days. The plan, however, was pulled off from many circles then.
BSNL Rs 1,498 plan is available for all users
To recall, BSNL first launched its Rs 1,498 prepaid plan earlier this month. It was then available for the users in Chennai telecom circle only. The plan, however, is now available for BSNL users all across the country.
The plan is available as a Data Voucher STV. Interested customers can visit BSNL official website to recharge with the new plan. Alternatively, they can also send an SMS to 123 with message “STVDATA1498”.
