Bungie set for Destiny Showcase 2022: Start date, time and other details – Times of India

Bungie’s annual ‘The Destiny Showcase’ is expected to offer a sneak peek into what is coming to the popular shooter series. The game’s developer has also updated its blog post to announce and list some details about the event. This year’s edition — The Destiny Showcase 2022 — is scheduled to be held on August 23 at 5 pm BST (9.30 pm IST). The upcoming event is likely to reveal season 18 of the Destiny 2 game and will offer other gifts. Earlier, Bungie also shared a tweet on the game’s official Twitter account to announce the dates of the event.

According to the blog post, the Destiny Showcase 2022 event will be streamed on — Twitch, YouTube and Bilibili after an hour-long preshow that will begin before the event. Moreover, the game will also offer Twitch drops for the first time and players can grab a Starbirth emblem as a reward for streaming the event.

The makers of Destiny 2 have said in its latest post update, “The festivities will be going down over on Twitch through official Bungie channels.” Furthermore, the developers also mentioned that “There will be localisation options for global players.”

Along with getting a glimpse into season 18 of Destiny 2, players have another reason to tune in to the event as streaming it on Twitch will offer a Starbirth emblem as a reward. Meanwhile, the developers have also outlined the eligibility criteria to claim the gift.
To be eligible, players need to ensure that their Twitch account is linked with your Destiny 2 account in their Bungie.net profile if they don’t want to miss out on the emblem. The blog post also says that players just simply need to tune into the official Bungie Twitch channel (there are nine channels total) on the mentioned date and watch at least 30 minutes of the event.

How to connect Bungie account to Twitch
Firstly, users have to log in to Bungie.net and navigate to the settings. Here players will be allowed to link their Bungie.net account to Twitch and authorise them.
