CES 2023: Acer Nitro, Acer Swift laptops with AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors launched – Times of India

Acer has launched Nitro 16 and Nitro 17 gaming laptops as well as Swift Go 14 laptop powered by AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors. Both Nitro laptops are aimed at casual gamers and feature 16-inch WUXGA/WQXGA display/ 17.3-inch FHD/QHD display. They feature liquid metal thermal grease on the processor.
Acer Nitro 16 features, specifications
Acer Nitro 16 features a 16-inch WUXGA or WQXGA display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 5% more screen area than its previous model. The laptop comes with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series laptop GPUs and supports NVIDIA Advanced Optimus that allows gamers to switch between integrated graphics and discrete graphics. Acer Nitro 17 is powered by the AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs. It either features a 17.3-inch FHD display with 144Hz or 165Hz refresh rate, or a QHD panel with a 165Hz refresh rate. It also comes with an RGB 4-zone backlit keyboard.
The two Acer Nitro devices come with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 2TB of M.2 PCIe Gen 4 storage. These are also integrated with NitroSense software and a NitroSense key.
Other features of the laptops include HD camera, two microphones, and two speakers with DTS:X Ultra audio. Connectivity options include an HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader, USB 2.0, USB 4, a Type C USB3.2 Gen 2 display port supporting Power Delivery and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. Both laptops also include one month of Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass.
Acer Swift Go 14 features, specifications
The Acer Swift Go 14 features a 14.9mm aluminium chassis with 90% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors and sports a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display with 2880×1800 resolution, TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe display certification and a 90Hz refresh rate.

The hardware is supported by Acer’s TwinAir dual-fan cooling system, dual D6 copper heat pipes and an air-inlet keyboard to keep temperatures in check. Other features include backlit keyboard and an OceanGlass touchpad. Acer claims that the laptop provides up to 9.5 hours of battery.
Connectivity options include USB-C port, HDMI 2.1, and a MicroSD card reader. It also supports up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD and up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM. There’s a 1440p webcam with Acer’s Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR), paired with Acer PurifiedView and PurifiedVoice technology with AI noise reduction.
