ChatGPT can automatically reply to your WhatsApp messages: how to set it up
ChatGPT could soon be capable of replying to text messages on behalf of users thanks to a Python script that can be used to integrate ChatGPT into WhatsApp. The new development comes courtesy of developer Daniel Gross and utilises the AI-based ChatGPT’s conversational abilities to respond to text messages on the popular instant messaging platform. However, the feature is not yet official and neither OpenAI nor Meta have officially rolled out support for AI-based messaging on their platforms.
ChatGPT can reply to messages on WhatsApp
The new ChatGPT patch on WhatsApp comes courtesy of developer Daniel Gross who has rolled out a new Java Script that enables users to use the AI-powered chatbot to reply to WhatsApp messages. This unofficial integration utilises ChatGPT’s conversational skills and precise information delivery abilities to reply to text messages in a human-like fashion.
To do this, one would be required to download a language library from a webpage that contains the necessary files. Once done, users are required to open the “WhatsApp-gpt-main” file and execute the “server.py” document. This initialises the ChatGPT setup on WhatsApp. With the server running, one is required to type in “Is” hit enter and then select “python server.py”. This sets up the account’s registered phone number on the OpenAI chat page. Then, the user is required to proceed by clicking on the “Confirm I am a human” box to verify. OpenAI ChatGPT can then be found on the linked WhatsApp account.
The above process of integration has not been tested by 91Mobiles and hence we cannot confirm the security aspects of such a modification.
