Check out this leaked 200MP Galaxy S23 Ultra camera sample

TL;DR

  • An alleged 200MP Galaxy S23 Ultra camera sample has leaked.
  • The image is apparently a 12x crop of the actual 200MP photo.
  • The leaker claims that the new ISOCELL HP2 sensor on the phone makes images look more natural.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is coming in hot. Leaks are pouring in from all corners of the industry, be it carriers, online tipsters, or retailers. Now we have another alleged camera sample from the 200MP shooter on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

What kind of photo do you think this is?
5x zoom? 10x zoom?
No, it’s a Galaxy S23 Ultra 200MP HP2 photo enlarged by 12x!

Ice Universe claims there are significant differences between images shot using the new 200MP Samsung sensor compared to previous 200MP and 108MP sensors like the ISOCELL HP1, HP3, HM1, and HM3. The photos apparently look more natural, with no oversharpening or too much post-processing.

Of course, it would have been great to see the actual 200MP photo, not just a crop of it, to get a better sense of the image quality. For what it’s worth, the shared image is bright, colorful, and maintains a decent amount of detail.

That said, you should take the leak with a grain of salt. We can’t vouch for its veracity or if the image even belongs to the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
