Choose between a FREE Samsung laptop or a FREE TV with Three Mobile

If you’re looking to upgrade to a new broadband bundle and fancy a freebie, there’s only one company that you should be looking at. Three Mobile is handing out some phenomenal gifts with its 5G-powered broadband, with new customers able to choose between a Samsung-branded Chromebook worth £379 and an LG designed 32-inch television worth £249. Better still, Three’s broadband bundles start from as low as £11.50 a month and are completely unlimited, so you don’t need to worry about extra charges for downloading endless boxsets, movies, software updates and backing up photos.

If you want the fastest speeds, you’ll need to opt for Three’s 5G-fuelled broadband. If you decide you’d like the 32-inch LG LED television, that speedier 5G option costs £15 a month for the first six months of your new contract. Rather than rely on the copper or fibre-optic cables running underneath your street, these broadband plans leverage the superfast 5G mobile network. This is the same network used by the latest smartphones, including the iPhone 13 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3, and offers average download speeds of around 100Mbps. For comparison, the average home broadband speed in the UK was measured at 70Mbps earlier this year.

So, you’ll be able to download films, stream binge-worthy boxsets, and make video calls faster than the cables in your street.

If you’re looking to slash your monthly bills down to new lows, you’ll be pleased that – for the first time – Three Mobile is also including the free telly bundle as part of its £11.50 a month 4G Hub broadband plan. Just like the plan above, this uses a SIM card to beam internet into your home. However, the older 4G network is a little slower, so Three doesn’t offer an approximate average download speed. However, in the small print, it reveals that customers can expect to see between 50Mbps – 100Mbps when downloading. While that’s more than enough for one person to stream boxsets from Netflix in crisp 4K Ultra HD, it’s probably not quite enough for busy households with multiple people watching movies, streaming music, uploading their photos to social media, downloading software updates and more.

Those who want a Samsung Chromebook 4+ will need to opt for the £30 a month 5G bundle, which boasts the same 100Mbps top download speeds. That should be more than enough to stream Netflix series in crisp Ultra HD 4K picture quality to your new laptop, make video calls and collaborate on documents with friends and colleagues without a hint of buffering.

While there’s no doubt that delivering speedy Wi-FI around your home via a 5G or 4G network is a little unusual, the result is exactly the same as a traditional broadband contract. The speeds delivered by the 5G SIM are beamed out as a local Wi-Fi network, so you can connect all of your gadgets. But unlike a traditional router, you’ll be able to unplug and move Three’s 5G Hub around the house without any hassle. Since there’s no broadband cable to connect, you can move the hub around the house – and even take it to a friend’s house for the afternoon!

Those who sign-up for either Three’s 5G unlimited or 4G unlimited home broadband service will be treated to an impossibly simple set-up too. Three will mail out the Wi-Fi hub – and that’s it. You won’t need a landline or have to book an engineer appointment for the installation, simply plug it in and it’ll be ready to use.

If you’re not sure about trying Wi-Fi beamed to your house with 5G signals, live in an area without a strong 5G signal, or want to compare the latest deal against the competition, Express.co.uk has rounded up some of the best broadband deals around…
