Cirkus, the latest Ranveer Singh starrer, is releasing on OTT this weekend. The film is the fifth instalment in Shetty’s Golmaal series, and a remake of 1982’s Angoor, which itself was a remake of the Shakespeare play, The Comedy of Errors. The film failed to get the box office ringing, garnering a little over Rs 60 crore in its short run in theatres. Cirkus is a period film directed by Rohit Shetty and stars Varun Singh and Pooja Hegde, besides Ranveer, in major roles.

Where to watch Cirkus on OTT?
Much before its theatrical release in December 2022, streaming rights of Cirkus were sold to Netflix. Cirkus will premiere on Netflix globally starting today, i.e February 17th. This comes after the usual eight-week gap between theatrical and OTT release dates, maintained by most Bollywood movies. Cirkus was released in theatres in India on December 23rd, 2022.
Cirkus plot
Considering this is a remake of yesteryear film Angoor, which itself is a spin-off of Shakespeare play Comedy of Errors, Cirkus has double roles by the lead actors to keep you amused. It is the story of not one, but two sets identical twins who got separated at birth. Years later, they land up in the same town and confusion ensues as everyone confuses them for the other.
