Citroen eC3 EV pre-bookings start in India: price, specifications, booking amount
The vehicle will be offered in two trim levels, Live and Feel, and customers will get a choice of 13 colour options. The eC3 hatchback will get a 7 yrs/140,000 km warranty on the battery and 5 yrs/100,000 km on the motor. A 3 yrs/125,000 km warranty comes standard with the vehicle.
While there is no word on the price of the Citroen eC3 in India, it is being anticipated that the vehicle will command a price tag of around Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). Its direct rival, the Tata Tiago EV hatchback is priced at Rs 8.49 lakh-11.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Citroen eC3 specifications
The Citroen eC3 is based on the C3 hatchback and shares most of its components with its ICE counterpart. The eC3 uses a 29.2kWh battery pack that sends energy to a front axle-mounted electric motor to produce 57hp and 143Nm of peak torque. The powertrain gets an ARAI-certified range of 320km. The vehicle will come with a 3.3kW charger which is capable of CCS2 fast charging and takes the battery from 10 percent to 100 percent in 10.5 hours when charging at home.
The Citroen eC3 will get two trim levels, Live and Feel. The fully loaded Feel variant gets a 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a four-speaker audio system. The safety kit includes dual airbags and ABS with EBD. The eC3 also gets a smartphone-based MyCitroen Connect app that works in tandem with the car’s connected tech. The French electric hatchback also gets two driving modes, Eco and Standard, and supports a non-adjustable regenerative braking system.
