clubhouse: Clubhouse rolls out support for closed captioning and launches new Bug Bounty program

NEW DELHI: Clubhouse, the audio-only social media app recently received some new features like Replays, download audio creators and more. After the recent feature-packed update, the company has now started rolling out a new update that brings support for closed captioning.
Clubhouse has started rolling out Closed captioning features for its iOS users. Along with this, the audio-only app is also bringing support for 13 languages to iOS. The 13 languages include English, Mandarin Chinese, Yue Chinese, Italian, German, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, and Russian.

This new update is available only for iOS users and there is no information as to when the update will be rolled out on Android.
Apart from this update, Clubhouse has also opened up a Bug Bounty program for the public.
The bounties will range from $100 to $3000. Clubhouse has partnered with HackerOne for this program, which also includes a Safe Harbor Clause, wherein the security researchers will be protected from legal repercussions. The interested hackers can participate from the Hacker One website.
Speaking about the Bug Bounty, Michiel Prins, Co-Founder at HackerOne said, “Clubhouse’s public bug bounty program will offer their in-house security team continuous testing support from a diverse pool of talent through our global community of more than 1 million hackers. We look forward to seeing the program’s results and how insights from the program will shape Clubhouse’s overall cybersecurity strategy.”
