Meta-owned instant messaging app, WhatsApp is rigorously working on bringing new features to its users. The company is rolling out an update via the Google Play Beta Program, which brings the new version up to 2.22.25.12.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is reportedly working on 21 new emojis that will be added to the app in future. Since the update is under development, hence, it would not be visible within the emoji keyboard. Apart from the new emojis, the company has also redesigned 8 emojis that already exist in the emoji keyboard.

“In reality, you may not have noticed them since the changes are not really evident (except for Pleading Face and Face Holding Back Tears) but thanks to the attached screenshot, you can discover which emojis have been redesigned,” added WABetaInfo.

WhatsApp is reportedly testing a new disappearing messages shortcut button. The company has rolled out the feature for some of its Android beta testers.
The messaging app was working on redesigning its disappearing messages section in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.24.9 update. This new section made it simple to mark both new and old chats as disappearing threads. The recent 2.22.25.10 update made the disappearing messages section available for more testers. Now, WhatsApp is releasing an additional entry point for disappearing messages.

According to the previous reports by WABetaInfo, some testers were able to access the new feature after downloading the latest WhatsApp beta update for Android version 2.22.25.11.

The new shortcut will be located in the ‘Manage Storage’ section and is identified as a space-saving tool. It is simple to mark both new and old chats as ‘disappearing threads’ using the new section.
