Synopsis
Going by Coursera’s IPO, there’s value to be unlocked in ed-tech. A study says there will be 100 publicly listed ed-tech companies globally with a market cap of over USD1 billion by 2025. Yet, there are just a handful of them now. Can 2021 change that? How many could be from India and what can they learn from Coursera’s listing?
Coursera’s listing in April 2021 is a significant value-creation story for ed-tech, especially as it comes a year after the pandemic resulted in the biggest global shift towards online learning.
