Disney+ Hotstar introduces new plans starting at Rs 499, effective from September 1st
Disney+ Hotstar at its virtual event has unveiled a wide range of content catalogues, including 18 new Hotstar Special series and Multiplex movies. Additionally, the streaming giant has also announced that it was the two-tier content-based strategy. Starting September 1st, Disney+ Hotstar will have three brand new plans: Mobile at Rs 499, Super at Rs 899 per year, and Premium at Rs 1,499. The Rs 399 VIP plan will no longer be available for customers as the starting price is now Rs 499. Interestingly, the Rs 1,499 premium plan now allows streaming on four devices simultaneously, up from two previously and 4K streaming is exclusive to the premium plan still.
The Rs 899 Super plan streaming quality is limited to HD video quality and allows two devices at the same time. Similarly, the Disney+ Hotstar Rs 499 plan offers the entire content catalogue but will be restricted to a single mobile device only and in HD streaming quality. The Rs 899 and Rs 1,499 plans can enjoy Disney+ Hotstar on a mobile, website, and other devices. The company seems to be following Netflix with their new plans and prices.

Disney+ Hotstar Mobile | Rs 499 | Mobile-only | HD |
