Don’t get your hopes high; Nothing is not launching another phone, confirms CEO – Times of India

Last month, Carl Pei‘s Nothing wrapped up the big reveal of its first Phone – Nothing Phone (1). The reports of the company launching a new and more affordable version of its Phone (1) already started surfacing on the internet merely a few weeks after it went on sale. The phone was said to be dubbed “Nothing Phone (1) Lite,” It reportedly would have skipped on the former’s key attraction – the Glyph Interface.
Carl Pei debunks the rumours of Nothing working on an affordable Nothing Phone (1) Lite
There is some sad news for you if you were waiting for a cheaper Nothing Phone (1). Nothing’s boss Carl Pei debunked the report saying it is fake. Pei quote tweeted a report from the Android Police, which cites the original report, saying “Fake News.” The Mobile Indian originally reported that a much more affordable Phone (1) Lite is under development at Nothing, but it seems to be mere speculation as Pei confirmed that it is nothing but fake news.

The report mentioned that the alleged Nothing Phone (1) would have come without the Glyph Interface, which already seemed to be a little dubious. Why would Nothing remove one of its main standout features, which the company has been teasing for a long time and is the phone’s main selling point (1)? It seemed to be a title tattle like the company could remove this feature and launch it for a cheaper price.

Also, it was said to have the same specifications as the Nothing Phone (1) for a lesser price. What is the point of launching a phone after so much hype to launch the same one with the key feature removed for a lesser price? Nothing.
