dragon: Free Wi-Fi, hot food in next SpaceX flight, promises Elon Musk – Times of India

The civilian SpaceX Inspiration4 mission is a success after the Dragon capsule safely splashed down in the Atlantic near Florida’s coast. While the crew had a memorable time on board the three-day flight into Earth’s orbit, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk the passenger experience can be improved. The first meal that was served inside the Dragon capsule was a pizza. While it’s quite an astonishing feat in itself to bite into a slice of pizza in space, sadly the pizza was cold. Musk apologised for the cold pizza and promised that there will be hot food along with free Wi-Fi in the Dragon capsule in the next mission.
The Inspiration4 mission tweeted, “Can’t believe we’re eating cold pizza in space. It’s extraordinary!” Musk quickly responded and replied, “Sorry it was cold! Dragon will have a food warmer & free wifi next time.”

Musk will be using Starlink to provide internet connectivity. “We’d use our Ka parabolics or laser links for Dragon, Starship or other spacecraft as soon as they got above cloud level,” he tweeted.
Pizza was not the only meal that was served inside the Dragon capsule. In fact, the crew could manage to enjoy quite a feast while flying across space. There were pizza bagels, sandwich, veggie platter, Mediterranean lamb, pasta, meatballs, roasted edamame, salami, bacon and cheddar, pasta bolognese, tortillas, beef and turkey jerky. Apart from tea and coffee, there were a range of snack items including M&M, pastries, granola bars and olives.
As per a report by Reuters, the three-day mission ended as the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, dubbed Resilience, parachuted into calm seas around 7 p.m. EDT (2300 GMT), shortly before sunset, following an automated reentry descent, as shown during a live SpaceX webcast on its YouTube channel.
