DuckDuckGo browser will now be able to block the “Sign in with Google” pop-up: Here’s how

Sign in with Google is perhaps the most common pop-up that appears on the internet. Search engine browser DuckDuckGo has announced that it will block the ‘Sign in with Google’ pop-up on its platform.
The company has further added that other popular websites like Reddit often show the Google sign-in pop-up while loading the web pages. Such pop-ups usually act as a hindrance while users surf the internet.

It claims that users will be “saved from these disruptive and misleading pop-ups” with its updated mobile apps or Firefox, Chrome, Brave, and Edge extensions in order to provide a “cleaner experience and more privacy”.
“These Google sign-in pop-ups are increasingly showing up on non-Google websites. What it does “simple and fast” is give Google consent to track you. Our apps & extensions are now equipped with Google Login Pop-Up Protection,” the company tweeted.
How can users access the feature
The feature can be accessed on the DuckDuckGo app for Android, Mac, iOS, Brave, Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge extensions. This will let users enjoy a more private, secure, and transparent browsing experience. DuckDuckGo also added that the feature has a lot more benefits than just the relief from Google pop-ups.

Here’s what Duck Duck Go offers its users
The search engine platform offers private search, web tracking protection, smarter encryption, email protection, Android app tracking protection, and more. The DuckDuckGo browser was created by Gabriel Weinberg on February 29, 2008, in Pennsylvania.
Last year, DuckDuckGo slammed Google’s new ad tracking method. The company said it is bad for privacy and puts the users in a group based on their browsing history, and any website can get that group ID to target and track them.
