The Rs 167 plan from Excitel offers up to 300Mbps data speeds and is only available for new customers as part of Excitel’s initiative to onboard new users. Post the subscription period, users will have to continue the broadband connection with the existing tariffs offered by the company. Here are the existing tariff plans from Excitel:

TelecomTalk reports that customers need to purchase the Rs 167 300Mbps plan for three months together, so the total comes to Rs 501. With taxes, the cost would be slightly higher. There will be no additional installation charges. However, there is a Rs 2000 refundable one-time security deposit for the ONU device.

Furthermore, customers can also bundle the 300Mbps plan with OTT benefits at a nominal charge of Rs 100 per month + GST. This is applicable for 3 months, 6 months and 12 months plans. There’s also OTT Premium Plan that can be bundled with the 300Mbps plan but that costs Rs 166 per month + GST. Since the 300Mbps speed at Rs 167 per month is a promotional plan, the company might withdraw it anytime.

Excitel launched in Mumbai earlier this year with 200Mbps, 300Mbps, and 400Mbps plans starting at Rs 424 per month (for a 12-month pack). The company says that since then it has been actively working towards offering various data plans that are tailored to cater to different customer requirements. The company has also expanded value-added services in addition to its high-speed internet plans.

Vivek Raina, CEO & Co-Founder of Excitel, said, “The young today look for uninterrupted and unbound internet experiences and our new plan is targeted to ensure the same for them. The new Onboarding plan is an effort from Excitel to provide a chance to ensure high-speed FTTH service to those users who have been denied this till now due to higher onboarding costs. With every expansion and plan, we are moving forward to our larger goal of ensuring high-speed fibre broadband connection in every part of the country.”
