Additionally, a boot animation picture reveals the likely marketing name of this upcoming phone will be Jio Phone True 5G. Further, the phone has a codename ‘ganga’, carries a model number LS1654QB5, and could be launched in partnership with LYF.

The above photos show that the Jio Phone 5G will feature a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD panel that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. A Snapdragon 480 SoC will power the 5G device, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging will keep the lights on. There’s a Syntiant NDP115 always-on AI processor onboard. Jio Phone 5G will ship with Samsung’s 4GB LPPDDR4X RAM and 32GB storage.

Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 5.1. Lastly, the device will run on the Android 12 out of the box pre-loaded with Google Mobile Services and a suite of Jio apps. While Android Central reported that the phone will come with a custom version of Android 11, it will instead come with a newer Android 12 that is not based on Android Go.
