OnePlus Nord 2 has started appearing in the news already even as the world waits for the launch of the Nord CE. While the latter is a stripped-down version of the original Nord smartphone, the former will be a true-blue second-generation model in the company’s non-flagship series. Now, 91mobiles and the ever-reliable OnLeaks are bringing to you the key OnePlus Nord 2 specifications, revealing what the brand has in store for us, possibly in July. These specifications round off what we should know about the phone considering the OnePlus Nord 2 price and key design elements leaked recently.
OnePlus Nord 2 specifications
- 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display
- 90Hz refresh rate, in-display fingerprint sensor
- 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB variants
- 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple rear cameras
- 32MP selfie sensor
- 4,500mAh battery
Yes, OnePlus Nord 2 specifications will be headlined by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, something we have heard in the rumour mill as well. Buyers will be able to choose between the 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB variants of the smartphone. The phone will also get a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with an in-display fingerprint sensor and 90Hz refresh rate, which was expected. It isn’t clear whether there will be a 6GB base variant for the India market at launch, like there was for the original Nord.
On the camera front, OnePlus Nord 2 will offer a 50MP sensor on the back, flanked by 8MP and 2MP sensors; if you’re counting, that’s one less sensor on the back compared to last year’s Nord. On the front will be a 32MP selfie camera, meaning the same resolution as last year’s model. The battery capacity, on the other hand, will see an upgrade as the cell has gone up from 4,115mAh on the first-generation model to 4,500mAh in the OnePlus Nord 2.
Previously leaked information claimed that the phone will have an attractive design, better screen-to-body ratio, and a punch-hole for the selfie sensor on the corner. The primary 50MP camera is said to be the Sony IMX766, the same as the OnePlus 9 Pro’s. The earlier report also said that OnePlus Nord 2 camera module will be similar to OnePlus 9 Pro’s, but with the lower-right lens replaced with a LED. As expected, the upcoming phone will support 5G too.
OnePlus Nord 2 price in India
The OnePlus Nord 2 price in India is tipped to be around RMB 2,000 (roughly Rs 22,300), which would be pretty decent if that’s what the 8GB variant costs. However, we might have to wait a bit to find out if that’s indeed the case or there is a market-specific variant of the phone in the offing too.
