[Exclusive] Realme GT 2 Pro product testing has begun, launch expected early 2022
Realme GT 2 Pro is said to be in the works as a premium flagship offering that is touted to be pricier and more feature-rich than the standard Realme GT. Now, 91mobiles has exclusively learned from noted tipster Mukul Sharma that the Realme GT 2 Pro product testing has begun and if everything goes according to the plan, the device is expected to launch around early 2022. While the exact timeline hasn’t been revealed, we expect it to go official sometime in the first quarter of 2022. Realme GT 2 Pro moniker was earlier confirmed via IMEI listing and the price has also been tipped.
Realme GT 2 Pro expected specifications (expected)
Realme GT 2 Pro specifications are leaked. It could sport a 6.51-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout at the top, 20:9 aspect ratio, probably a high refresh rate, 401 PPI pixel density, slim bezels, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. While the chipset details aren’t revealed, we can speculate it could be the Snapdragon 898 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage that may be further expandable. It is likely to boot Android 12 OS with Realme UI 3.0 custom skin on top and 5G network connectivity.
The Realme GT 2 Pro could be equipped with a triple camera setup on the back, comprising of a 108MP primary camera sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP tertiary sensor. It is said to get a 32MP sensor on the front for selfies and video chats. Connectivity features may include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging. Since these are leaked specifications, there are chances the actual hardware might be different.
Realme GT 2 Pro price (leaked)
The Realme GT 2 Pro price is said to be RMB 4,000(roughly Rs 46,000). Rumours suggest there could be a special edition of the phone and that could retail at RMB 5,000 (about Rs 58,000).
